# PuzzleForge Cloud — User Guide

**Mergify Digital · Price: $39 one-time (via Whop)**

## What it is

PuzzleForge Cloud generates Sudoku puzzles and exports them as a print-ready interior PDF for a puzzle book — the kind of interior used for low-content publishing on Amazon KDP.

Plainly: **PuzzleForge is Sudoku-only today.** It does not generate word searches, crosswords, mazes, cryptograms, or other puzzle types.

What the generator does:

- Generates Sudoku puzzles using a real Sudoku engine that first builds a valid solved grid
- Checks each puzzle for a unique solution (the engine counts solutions and keeps puzzles that pass its uniqueness check)
- Lays the puzzles out into a KDP interior PDF with configurable margins, delivered as a Sudoku interior PDF file

## Who it's for

- KDP low-content publishers making Sudoku books
- Printable sellers who want Sudoku interiors without hand-building puzzles or checking solutions themselves

## Requirements

- A Whop purchase of PuzzleForge Cloud ($39 one-time)
- A modern web browser and an internet connection
- The access/license instructions delivered through Whop after purchase
- For publishing: an Amazon KDP account, and a separate book cover (PuzzleForge generates the interior, not the cover)

## Getting started

1. **Check out on Whop.** Purchase PuzzleForge Cloud from Mergify Digital on Whop.
2. **Follow the Whop delivery.** Access/license instructions are delivered through Whop after purchase. Use those instructions to reach PuzzleForge and sign in / activate with your license.
3. **Do a small test run first.** Generate a small interior, download the PDF, and open it to confirm the puzzles, layout, and page size look right before generating a full book's worth.

## Step-by-step: generate a KDP interior

1. **Start a new generation.** Open PuzzleForge after signing in with your license.
2. **Set your generation options.** Choose the number of puzzles and any difficulty or layout options presented for your run. (Difficulty in Sudoku generators generally reflects how much of the solved grid is removed while keeping a unique solution — pick a setting, generate a small sample, and solve or inspect a few puzzles yourself to confirm the feel matches the book you intend to sell, for example easy puzzles for a beginners' or large-print-style book versus harder puzzles for an advanced book.)
3. **Set the interior margins.** Use the margin settings offered for the PDF so puzzles sit safely inside KDP trim/bleed expectations for the book size you plan to publish. If you are unsure, generate with the default margins first and check the result in KDP's previewer before printing or publishing.
4. **Generate.** Run the generator. Each puzzle is built from a solved grid and uniqueness-checked as part of generation.
5. **Download the interior PDF.** Save the exported Sudoku interior PDF to your computer and keep a backup copy.
6. **Inspect the PDF page by page.** Flip through the whole file — not just the first pages. Check that no puzzle is cut off at a page edge, pages are in order, and the layout is consistent throughout.
7. **Publish on KDP (basics).**
   1. In your KDP account, create a new paperback title and enter your book metadata (title, subtitle, description, keywords) — this metadata is yours to write; PuzzleForge does not generate it.
   2. Upload the PuzzleForge interior PDF as the book interior/manuscript, and upload your own cover separately.
   3. Use KDP's previewer to check trim, margins, and page order, and fix any issues it flags.
   4. Set your price/royalty options in KDP and submit for KDP's review. Amazon KDP's own current rules, trim sizes, and review requirements govern the listing — check them in KDP, as they can change.

## Tips

- Generate in batches you can actually inspect. Uniqueness checking makes a puzzle valid; it does not guarantee every puzzle will feel equally enjoyable — spot-solve a sample from each difficulty you use.
- Decide whether your book includes solutions/answers before you generate, and check whether your export matches that plan. If you include an answer section, verify the answers against the puzzles on a sample basis.
- Keep your source settings with your PDF (puzzle count, difficulty, margins, book size) so a second volume can match the first.
- Order a physical proof copy from KDP before advertising a new interior widely. Screen previews miss paper, contrast, and margin problems.

## Troubleshooting

- **Sign-in / license is rejected.** Use the license exactly as delivered through Whop, and confirm your purchase shows in your Whop account. See also the support note below.
- **Generation fails or returns no file.** Reduce the puzzle count for the run, generate in smaller batches, and try again. If it still fails, note the settings you used and contact support.
- **A puzzle looks wrong or repeats a layout.** Download a fresh generation and compare. If you find a specific problem puzzle, save the PDF page number and your generation settings for support.
- **KDP rejects the interior or flags margins.** Re-export with larger margins and re-check the book size/trim settings in KDP, then upload the new PDF and preview again in KDP's previewer. KDP's error message is the authoritative guide to what it wants changed.
- **Puzzles feel too easy or too hard for the label.** Generate a small sample at a different difficulty setting and compare before committing to a full book.
