# RuleGuard Consistency — User Guide

**Mergify Digital · Price: $19 one-time (via Whop)**

## What it is

RuleGuard Consistency is an educational calculator for prop-firm traders. Many prop firms use a **consistency rule**: your single best (largest) profit day may not exceed a set percentage of your total profit. Break it, and a payout or evaluation can be delayed or denied even if you are profitable overall.

You enter your series of daily profit-and-loss results and the consistency cap percentage that applies to you. RuleGuard calculates:

- Your cumulative (total) P&L across the days entered
- Your largest positive day
- That largest day's share of your total profit, as a percentage
- Whether you pass or fail the consistency test at the cap you set
- How much additional profit you would need (spread so the best-day share falls) to come back into compliance

The cap is configurable — the default used by the calculator is 30% — because firms differ. Examples of published consistency caps in the market include Apex, Topstep, and FTMO-style rules in roughly the 30–55% range, but **firm rules change**: look up the current rule for your specific firm, account, and program yourself, and enter that percentage. RuleGuard does not contain your firm's rules and does not check them for you.

## Who it's for

- Futures and forex prop-firm evaluation and funded-account traders who must satisfy a best-day consistency rule before a payout
- Traders planning how much more they need to trade (without one outsized day) to become payout-eligible

## Requirements

- A Whop purchase of RuleGuard Consistency ($19 one-time)
- A modern web browser and an internet connection
- The access/license instructions delivered through Whop after purchase
- Your own daily P&L figures (from your broker, journal, or prop-firm dashboard) and the current consistency percentage for your firm/program

## Getting started

1. **Check out on Whop.** Purchase RuleGuard Consistency from Mergify Digital on Whop.
2. **Follow the Whop delivery.** Access/license instructions are delivered through Whop after purchase. Use them to reach RuleGuard and sign in / activate with your license.
3. **Find your firm's current cap first.** Before entering anything, confirm the exact consistency percentage and how your firm defines it (for example, whether it applies at payout only, and over which period) from your firm's current official rules.
4. **Do a test run with recent days.** Enter a week or two of daily P&L you already know, and sanity-check the output by hand before trusting it for a payout decision.

## Step-by-step: run a consistency check

1. **Gather your daily P&L series.** List one net P&L figure per trading day for the period your firm evaluates, in order, including losing days and zero/small days — leaving days out changes both the total and the best-day share. RuleGuard accepts up to 366 days.
2. **Enter the series.** Enter or paste your daily P&L figures into RuleGuard exactly as your records show them. Use net figures (after the costs your firm counts) if that is how your firm evaluates you — be consistent.
3. **Set the cap percentage.** Enter the consistency cap % for your firm/program (the calculator's default is 30%; change it if your firm's rule is different).
4. **Run the check.** RuleGuard returns your cumulative P&L, your largest positive day, that day's share as a percentage, a pass/fail result against your cap, and — if you are failing — the additional profit needed to come into compliance.
5. **Act on the result.**
   - **Pass:** your best-day share is at or under the cap for the figures entered. Recheck after every new trading day, especially a large winning day.
   - **Fail:** the "additional profit needed" figure tells you the size of the hole. In plain terms, you generally need more total profit accumulated without a new day larger than your current best day, until the best day's share falls to or under the cap. Do not chase it recklessly — see the disclaimer below.
6. **Re-run before requesting any payout.** Run a fresh check with the complete, final series right before submitting a payout request, and keep a copy of your inputs and the result.

## Tips

- Recheck after every unusually large winning day — one big day is exactly what pushes traders out of compliance near a payout.
- Keep the daily series you entered. If a firm disputes eligibility, your own records are what you will argue from; RuleGuard's output alone is not evidence to a firm.
- If your total profit is small, the math is fragile: with a small total, even a modest best day is a large percentage. That is the rule working as firms intend, not a calculator error.
- When in doubt about how your firm counts days, profits, or the evaluation window, ask the firm — their definition governs, not this calculator's.

## Troubleshooting

- **Result says fail even though I'm profitable.** That is the consistency rule itself: profitability does not override the best-day share. Check the largest-day share % in the output against your cap.
- **My hand calculation differs.** Check for a missing day, a day entered with the wrong sign, gross figures mixed with net figures, or a different cap %. Re-enter the complete series and re-run.
- **Additional profit needed looks very large.** This happens when one day dominates a small total. Verify your best day and total in the output are the figures you intended to enter.
- **The cap for my firm is not listed.** Set it manually. Look up the current percentage in your firm's official rules for your exact program — do not rely on third-party summaries, including this guide.
- **Sign-in / license is rejected.** Use the license exactly as delivered through Whop, and confirm your purchase shows in your Whop account.

## Disclaimer

RuleGuard Consistency is an educational calculator and software utility. It is not financial, investment, or trading advice, and it does not guarantee that any prop firm will approve an evaluation, payout, or account, or accept this calculator's result. Prop-firm rules differ by firm and program and change over time; you are responsible for confirming the current rules that apply to you and for all of your trading decisions. Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Never trade more aggressively merely to change a consistency percentage — the additional-profit figure is arithmetic, not a recommendation to trade.
