Pricebook Clean-Up

Your ServiceTitan pricebook is a mess — duplicates, missing codes, five spellings of the same category, prices typed as “$1,250.00”, services priced below cost. Send the export exactly as-is and get back a clean, import-ready file in 48 hours. Stated plainly: this is a clean-up service, not pricing advice and not a full pricebook rebuild. We never need — or want — your ServiceTitan login. File in, file out.

Who it’s for

HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors on ServiceTitan whose pricebook has grown messy over the years — or whose implementation stalled at pricebook setup. Fixing a 200–500 item book by hand takes 20–40 hours; consultants charge thousands to rebuild one.

What the clean-up does

  • Duplicates removed — exact and near-duplicates (same code, or same name + price) are taken out, and every removal is listed in your change report. Nothing is silently deleted.
  • Missing codes generated — every item missing a code gets one, made unique across the book.
  • Categories normalized — one spelling, one consistent structure, instead of “Water Heaters” / “Water Heater” / “WH”.
  • Money fields normalized — prices and costs returned as clean numbers ServiceTitan accepts, not “$1,250.00” text.
  • Problem rows flagged, never changed — every row priced at or below cost, or missing a price or cost, is flagged in the report for your review. We never guess at your prices.
  • Import-ready file + change report — a clean file in ServiceTitan import format (IDs left blank for new items, the way ServiceTitan wants them), plus a plain-English report of everything that was fixed, dropped, or flagged.

From a real demo run

A 60-row sample pricebook went through the cleaner: 52 rows out, 8 duplicates removed, 20 codes generated, 118 money fields normalized, and 5 rows flagged for review — the rows priced at or below cost, or missing a price or cost, exactly the ones a bookkeeper needs to see before importing.

How it works

  1. Export your pricebook — in ServiceTitan, go to Settings → Pricebook (or Pricebook → Export, depending on your version) and export your whole Services and Materials book to Excel/CSV. Save a copy of that original export somewhere safe and don’t touch it — that file is your undo button. Don’t clean anything first; send it exactly as-is.
  2. Check out and send it — pay the founding price at checkout, and you’ll receive submission instructions after checkout — an upload link plus a short 5-question form (business name, trade, rough item count, anything you already know is broken, flagged rows left as-is or dropped). The 48-hour clock starts when your file arrives, not when you pay. Your file is used only to produce your clean file and report — never shared, sold, or used for anyone else’s book.
  3. Import it safely (about 15 minutes) — read the flagged section of the change report first, import one small batch (one category), spot-check 5–10 items against the report, then import the rest. If the file doesn’t import, send us the error and the delivered file: one free fix round is included, and if we can’t make it import, you get a full refund.
